What the MCP server does

Hydori translates WordPress blogs into the languages your readers speak. The MCP server gives your AI assistant the same articles, so writing, translation and SEO fixes happen in one conversation. It only sees the sites your Hydori account owns or has been invited to.

Articles

Browse, search and read articles with their SEO and GEO fields. Plan, write and edit articles, change a single section, prepare a translation and upload images.

SEO and GEO

SEO and GEO scores with a check-by-check breakdown, content health across a site, stored insights with one-click fixes, and Search Console traffic and keywords.

Publishing

Sync one article or all of them to WordPress or Ghost, or a single article to Webflow, then check the sync history.

Planning

Track goals tied to Search Console or GA4 metrics and keep a task list for each site.

Things to ask

  • “Translate my latest post into Spanish and German and sync both to WordPress.”
  • “Which articles have the lowest SEO scores? Rewrite the meta descriptions on the worst three.”
  • “Show my top 20 Search Console keywords and the articles that rank for them.”
  • “Apply the one-click fixes for every low CTR insight on my site.”

Tools

39 tools: 23 read data, 16 change it. Write tools change articles, goals, tasks or media in your Hydori account; the sync tools also publish to your connected WordPress, Ghost or Webflow site. Most clients ask you to approve a tool call before it runs.

Setup

You need a Hydori account. Every client uses the same server URL and the same sign-in.

Claude (web and desktop)

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Click Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Hydori and paste https://hydori.io/mcp as the URL.
  4. Click Connect and sign in with your Hydori email and the 6-digit code.

Claude Code

Terminal
claude mcp add --transport http hydori https://hydori.io/mcp

Then run /mcp inside Claude Code and choose Hydori to sign in.

Cursor

Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in a project). Cursor opens the sign-in page in your browser the first time it connects.

mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "hydori": {
      "url": "https://hydori.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

VS Code

Add this to .vscode/mcp.json in your workspace, or run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette and choose HTTP. Start the server from the file and sign in when VS Code asks.

.vscode/mcp.json
{
  "servers": {
    "hydori": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://hydori.io/mcp"
    }
  }
}

How sign-in works

Hydori uses OAuth, so your client never sees a password or a site token.

  1. 1

    Your client opens Hydori

    When you connect, your client opens hydori.io/connect/mcp in the browser and shows what it is asking for.

  2. 2

    Enter your Hydori email

    We send a 6-digit code to that address. Use the email you sign in to Hydori with.

  3. 3

    Enter the code

    Hydori checks the code, then sends you back to your client with access granted. You can also deny the request on this page.

  4. 4

    Start working

    Your client can now call the tools above for the sites on your account. To disconnect, remove the connector in your client's settings.

Technical details

  • OAuth 2.1 authorization code flow with PKCE (S256), public clients, scope mcp.
  • Dynamic client registration is supported, so clients register themselves.
  • Authorization server metadata: https://hydori.io/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server
  • Protected resource metadata: https://hydori.io/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource
  • Transport: streamable HTTP (JSON-RPC over POST) at https://hydori.io/mcp.
