Getting started
1. Create your Hydori account
Sign up at hydori.io and pick a plan. Every plan ships with translation credits and access to the WordPress plugin.
2. Install the plugin from WordPress.org
In your WordPress admin go to Plugins, Add New, and search for Hydori. Click Install, then Activate.
Tip: The plugin works on self-hosted WordPress.org sites and on WordPress.com Business and Ecommerce plans.
3. Paste your site token
Copy the site token from your Hydori dashboard and paste it into the plugin settings. No OAuth, no API keys to rotate.
4. Translate your first post
Open any post, pick your target languages, and hit Translate. Hydori writes the translated posts into your site with hreflang tags wired up across all variants.

Works with your existing theme
Hydori writes translations into your existing post types. Your theme, layout, styles, and shortcodes keep working exactly as they do today. No theme changes required.
Site token, not API keys
Authentication is a single site token pasted into the plugin settings. Nothing to rotate, no OAuth flow, no per-user permissions to manage.
Gutenberg and Classic both supported
Whether your posts are Gutenberg blocks or Classic editor content, Hydori preserves the structure, images, and metadata in every translated variant.
No database churn
Translations are standard WordPress posts, not hidden tables or shortcodes. If you ever stop using Hydori, every translation stays on your site.
Translation workflow
Picking languages
Hydori supports every language your readers speak. Pick a subset per post or define a default set at the site level so every new post gets the same language coverage automatically.
Draft vs live publishing
Choose whether translations land as drafts for review or go live immediately. You can switch the mode per site and override it for a single batch.
Hreflang and SEO
Hydori writes hreflang tags across every language variant so search engines correctly pair your languages. Slugs stay clean, canonicals are set correctly, and brand terms are preserved.
Bulk translation
Select multiple posts and pick your target languages in one job. Hydori processes in the background and publishes based on your draft vs live setting.
Troubleshooting
Plugin won't connect to Hydori
Double-check that the site token is copied correctly (no trailing spaces). Make sure your site can make outbound HTTPS requests to api.hydori.io. Re-save the plugin settings after pasting.
Translated post missing hreflang tags
Hreflang tags are injected by the Hydori plugin on the frontend. If your theme aggressively caches the <head>, clear the cache after publishing. Verify the plugin is active and running the latest version.
Translation missing brand terms
Open your Hydori site settings and add the terms to the glossary. Brand terms in the glossary are preserved verbatim across every language.
Credits running out faster than expected
Long posts and many target languages consume more credits. Check the credits log in your Hydori dashboard to see per-translation usage, and buy a one-time credit pack to top up.
Translation published to the wrong post type
By default Hydori writes translations into the same post type as the original. Check your site's post-type settings in the Hydori dashboard if a custom post type is involved.
